Canada Pre Natal Nutrition Program “CPNP” offers pre and post natal information and support to parents during this exciting time. From conception until your baby reaches 12 months of age, CHANCES has programs designed with you in mind. These programs are free of charge and open to anyone expecting or parenting a new baby. Our Special Delivery program is for the expectant family and our Building Incredible Babies group is designed for new parents of the 0-12 month old.
CHANCES SPECIAL DELIVERY group is a relaxed, yet very informative way to learn about pregnancy, labour and birth.
Prenatal sessions are facilitated by an experienced RN. Our comprehensive curriculum includes info on doctor visits, fetal development, nutrition and lifestyle choices, signs and stages of labour, comfort measures, medical options, breastfeeding and caring for your new baby and much more.
In order to prepare yourself a bit for our sessions, we suggest that you familiarize yourself with our Prenatal Terms (dictionary) and by reading up on how to take care of yourself and your baby during pregnancy.
This fall we are changing our format slightly. Each month we will host a complete set of sessions. We will begin the first Saturday of the month with our basic intro session , covering basics such as lifestyle choices, preparing for a new baby, fetal development and common discomforts etc. Then each Tuesday evening will be a regular topic:
the first Tuesday….Signs and stages of labour ,
second Tuesday… Breastfeeding
third Tuesday…Comfort Measures
fourth Tuesday… First Few Weeks at Home with new baby
this schedule is subject to change, so please check with us by phone or email to confirm dates
We will include a hospital tour every 2 months TBA
We ask that you pre register simply by submitting our prenatal registration form and someone will then contact you with the details.
