Please be advised of the following information related to CHANCES programming effective January 5 – 17, 2022:

Smart Start – (Early Learning & Child Care)

CHANCES Smart Start Programs are operating as usual, with any cancellations being updated in the cancellations/updates section of the website.  Please check this section often as circumstances in each centre can change often in these challenging times.

Smart Play (School aged programs)

CHANCES Smart Play Programs are operating on a full day basis until schools reopen, currently scheduled for January 17, 2022.  Please check the cancellations/delays section of the website often as circumstances in individual centres can change.

Please note:

• The Smart Play Program in Cardigan is currently closed, and will reopen on January 17, 2022. However children normally attending Smart Play Cardigan are offered spaces in Smart Play Vernon River until January 15, 2022.
• Smart Play Donagh will be closed January 10 – 14 and will reopen on January 17, 2022. Children who normally attend Smart Play Donagh are offered spaces at Smart Play Stratford until January 15, 2022.

Best Start (In-home visiting)

Best Start in-home visitation is suspended until January 17, 2022. Best Start staff will continue to contact and support Best Start families through virtual visits, phone calls, email, text and by non-contact porch drop offs. Parent Sessions/Special Delivery/ Building Incredible Babies/Strong Start

All in-person parent sessions, pre and postnatal programs and Strong Start will be suspended until January 17, 2022.
